The Marysville School District Board of Directors will be in attendance at a Public Hearing on Monday, February 10, 2025, 6:00 p.m., at Liberty Elementary School, 1919 10th Street, Marysville, WA. The purpose of the hearing is to take public comment on the closure of the Liberty Elementary School building/facility in accordance with district policy 6883; Closure of Facilities, and RCW 28A.335.020.
The Board of Directors will follow its public comment procedure during the public hearing:
To address the Board of Directors in person, sign up on the form on the clipboard provided at the entrance to the meeting room.
Per policy 1430, the Board requires that those addressing the board be residents or employees of the district or the representative of such residents or employees, parents or guardians of students enrolled in district schools, or employees of businesses located within the district.
Each individual has up to 3 minutes.
Individuals wishing to combine their time must sign in on the speaker's clipboard.
To combine time, parties must be present.
A maximum of two people can combine their allotted time for a total of 6 minutes, allowing for a broader representation of diverse viewpoints.
A Spanish-speaking interpreter will be present at the public hearing. No action will be taken by the Board of Directors during the public hearing. The final decision on the closure of the Liberty Elementary School facility will be made at the next regular session meeting scheduled for February 19, 2025.
