The Marysville Fire District is now offering free Car Seat Awareness classes for caregivers, childcare providers or anyone who wants to learn more about child car seats. This class is an overview of proper car seat use from birth to the adult seat belt. This one-hour class will be held virtually via Zoom at 10am on the second Thursday of every month. The next class is March 10. Anyone can sign up for the class directly with this link: https://bit.ly/34KpSv6, or you can visit www.marysvillefiredistrict.org and click on Public Education at the top.

Remember to Vote! Ballots are due by Tuesday, February 8 at 8pm. Outdoor drop boxes are located at City Hall on State Ave., Grove Elementary School, and at the Tulalip Tribes Youth Center. The Connections Center, funded by the McKinney-Vento Trust to help unhoused students and families, is holding a Drive-Thru Donation Event from November 29 - December 3, 7am - 4pm each day and until 6pm on December 1. The event will be held at the Educational Service Center, 4220 80th Street NE at the Connections Center. Directional signage will be posted to show the drop-off area.

REMINDER: School is in session on Wednesday, November 24 for students in grades K - 12 following the half-day early dismissal schedule. There is no school for students in Preschool on Wednesday and no school Thursday and Friday for all students grades Pre - 12. Enjoy the short break and stay safe and healthy!

Filing window for school board seats ends May 21: Individuals interested in running for a school board seat during the November 2021 election must submit their intent to the Snohomish County Elections Office during the May 17 - 21, 2021 filing window. The following seats are open for either a 4-year or 2-year term for any citizen residing in each of the Director District areas: District Director 1: 4-year term District Director 3: (Current open seat) 2-year term, the successfully appointed director will need to file to maintain seat if interested. District Director 4: 4-year term District Director 5: 2-year term Residency in Director areas may be confirmed by calling the Snohomish County Elections office at (425) 388-3444. The Snohomish County Elections office provides resources for those interested in serving including a Candidate Guide and Filing for Office webpage.
